A licensed cosmetologist with expert skill across every hair texture, she’s especially known for her advanced color work and her signature Dominican blowouts—smooth, bouncy, and always tailored to the client.

A proud self-described “Missourican,” La Karen was born in Puerto Rico and raised between the island and Kansas City, blending rich cultural roots with Midwest heart. That duality shows up in everything she does—from her intuitive approach to hair to the vibrant energy she brings into the salon.

Music is essential to La Karen’s life. She plays several instruments, loves every genre, and is rarely not moving—especially if salsa is playing. When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her dancing, exploring new restaurants as a devoted foodie, traveling, catching concerts, or relaxing outdoors. She loves water sports like swimming, kayaking, and boating, enjoys yoga and hiking, and never says no to firing up the grill.

A mom of two and a big-family person at heart, La Karen treasures time spent with her loved ones. Sundays are often reserved for family, fun, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
